November in London

The year is almost over, what a year it has been. I can't imagine I'd be where I am right now back in January. London certainly has been interesting.

November has been dominated by Vinays Truth and Beauty, 'The Future We Deserve' series, a fascinating series of talks on how the world really is... I made an attempt to video it here, not the best in terms of quality, but you can just about read the slides, Vinay looks to have gathered his slides on the Truth and Beauty site.

I've starting making a home (of sorts) at Hub Westminster, a new co-working space in central London (that seems to be located on New Zealand Sovereign soil). Its come about as Space Makers now has its base of operations set there, and since I'm there for meetings now, and for many of the great events that happen there (last weekend there was a guerrilla performance of King Lear!)

Makerhood continues to grow, although I was having to this morning help someone debug their images for upload. It also marks a transition from the purely web selling experience to having much more physical presences. They've had an exhibition in Brixton, have a pop up stall in the Market, and have started the first of their Makers Forums in Brixton, this one advising makers on aspects of business. Yours truly will be building the online infrastructure for this. Also Makerhood has their annual Christmas card shindig at the Dogstar this Sunday (I'll be along later on as on the weekend...)

It is the Last West Norwood Feast of the year, and its a special Christmas event. The saturday evening sees light shows and entertainment, followed by the final market of the year. The feast has been an amazing experience and its been great to see it develop from the first introductions to the project last year.
