Octobers Workload

Been a busy month, alongside the usual slate of projects;

Dougalds University project kicked off with an unconference event at Hub Westminster, a new space thats opened up in this large office tower. It  was a great fun packed weekend, and while I for the most part was on documenting duty, I still found time to join in with a few of the conversations, test chilly powder in the name of herbal science, and enjoy pints and banter in what became the University Projects union bar. I really liked the weekend and the project, it's interesting to see the different ideas behind education develop and I'm interested in following the journey of the various projects that come out of it.

Secondly, Space Makers kicked off their second project in Penrith. I had a chance to go up to the North of England Town, and catch the launch event. Really looking forward to seeing how this project develops over the course of the year, the town, somewhat reminds me of the market towns around my home town, Atherstone, and the like. I'll be helping with doing online development and support on the project as part of my role within Space Makers.

Elsewhere work continues as it does, I'm starting to get back into central London again, after not really making many journeys central. In part this is because of the many events the Gang of Collapsonomics have going at Hub Westminster. Also RCA have a competition on Art Students facing up to our economic reality [PDF link] which seems to tie in with some of the people and projects I've been around / been part of over the last few years.
