June in London
Tired, shattered, exhausted, been working hard on getting a few more sites ready, and working hard on projects, Makerhood and such like.
West Norwood Feast (also on this Sunday) is getting close to it's hand over stange, I've been prepping the site and taking a small working group through the process of content editing, as well as starting the process of sorting out the profile pages which I've never been happy about.
Makerhood has had to have a lot of extra work, currently trying to get Paypal intergration with my custom shop module, I'm writing a wrapper around simple payments for now. Trying to work out what it returns and how that is processed by the simple payments module.
Speaking of Makerhood, although not been to all of them, it was great fun going to their makers meetings, and seeing how real users where using the site, as well as discussing ideas and developments with them. Its been a really good journey to have co-design and direct feedback as I've been doing the development process. I'm hoping to have the payment system ready somewhat ready for using testing on Sunday where I'll be rushing back from the feast.
In between all that, I've had some chance to spend a bit more time in Central London, I ended my Tuttle drought after spending to many sleepless nights. I went to see the RCA Private view which was a great catch up with RCA freinds and lots of interesting 'conceptual' work which I will see if I can get some time to write about. Also not quite London but this month (a month early actually) was the Wings and Wheels event at the Farm, which is always a welcome break from London life.
